This morning, walking into the scholarship examination room at CIS / Sedbergh Vietnam (SSV) International School, seeing nearly 100 students filling the rows of computers, focused on their exams in a solemn and professional atmosphere, and watching the workshop with parents on academic and life excellence, I truly felt an indescribable emotion.
When deciding to invest in CIS and Sedbergh Vietnam, EQuest’s leaders had only one major wish in mind: that one day, outstanding students would proactively seek us out and compete to study at CIS and Sedbergh.
Today, after just 3 years, that has happened: nearly 100 excellent students, coming from various schools and localities (with some families traveling all the way from Da Nang), participated together in the CIS & Sedbergh Olympiad scholarship examination. This was a very intense exam, lasting nearly 3 hours, comprehensively assessing student capacity—from English proficiency and critical thinking to personal strengths and problem-solving skills.
At Sedbergh and CIS, there are currently many top-performing students across various fields such as academics, sports, and the arts. CIS and Sedbergh are where the unique selling points (USPs) of EQuest’s K-12 system are most clearly demonstrated: a) academic excellence; b) elite sports; c) talent hub; d) classy design; and e) exceptional experiences.
Parents and students have begun to believe that CIS and Sedbergh are places worth investing in for their children’s futures. Excellent students have started viewing these schools as a “destination,” rather than merely a secondary option. The school is not a place of study for a short-term expat community, but a community of exceptional individuals. My sincere thanks to the CIS/Sedbergh community.
